Mac OS X / Unix

The relentless reliability of Unix and the ease of use of the Mac combine to create the most intuitive and stable platform on the market. Starting at $499, the Mac Mini has more than enough power to handle an enterprise-class installation of thousands of doors and millions of badges. Laptops work perfectly as well especially for field testing and mobile applications. PowerMac desktops and towers with beautiful 30 inch cinema displays enhance the experience to the extreme.

Sites

A site is defined as a communicaton path or comm link. If using a LAN, it would be one IP address. Each site can contain up to 32 door controllers (RSAM-1000) on one IP address. This reduces the burden on the IT department while still allowing maximum flexibility in designing and implementing your solution.

Badges

Cards, Tags, Key Fobs, RF Transmitters, PIN Numbers, fingerprints all eventually correspond to a number. We call this the badge number and RSAM-Link maintains a database relating the number to a person or asset. Wiegand, ABA, ASCII, HEX, BCD, and random formats are supported.

Controllers

Each RSAM-1000 is named and associated with a site. Scheduled downloads/uploads and online interaction allow flexible operator control. Configuration options allow individual units to be tailored to meet speciifc needs. Scheduled lock/unlock, grant/deny access per badge, class, or department.

Reports

Configuration and history event logs are available in various formats for easy integration into other enterprise systems.

User Access

Operator, Admin, Manager, and custom accounts can be set up with various privileges to aceess specific functions.
